Tom Cruise is once again proving what a happy-go-lucky chap he is by launching
legal action against a store which sells baby clothes. He has long been a patron of Petit Tresor in Hollywood, a shop that sells outrageously expensive baby clothes (and obviously has a range of silver space suits in toddler sizes)...
Naturally the store were proud to have such a high-profile customer and happily informed 'Life and Style' magazine that Tom and Katie Holmes have spent between $350,000 and $400,000 on baby clothes and related items in the last two years. Bad move.
Tom chuckled his way into action and ordered his lawyers to issue a 'shut up or be incinerated' order to the store (TMZ has the full letter
here demanding that the store desist from talking to the press and stop making up stories about the amount the couple spend at their store.
It seems Tom doesn't have anything better to do with his time than whine to his lawyers. Well, he's certainly not out there promoting films, after all. To be fair, up to £100,000 a year on baby clothes seems rather excessive, especially as poor little Suri looks as though her mum cuts her hair with a blunt knife.
The world needs more indiscreet stores like this. I'd love Matalan to come out and reveal how much Kerry Katona spent on grey leggings and sweatshirts in the last two years.
