LOVE, HONOUR AND NO WAY

Star magazine in the US is breathlessly claiming that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were married on Saturday in the French Quarter Wedding Chapel in New Orleans. The magazine is certain about their 'exclusive' because they are able to draw on some sources (unnamed, naturally) who they claim "are in a position to have information regarding a secret wedding ceremony". That'd be the vicar dressed as Elvis then.

So despite the fact they are the most photographed couple in the world with paparazzi following them wherever they go, Star magazine would have us believe that the pair married after booking the chapel a few weeks ago. In their own names. Without anyone noticing or tipping off the press.

To be fair, the magazine has now published the following comment at the end of the story…

"After further investigation, the sources are not standing by their story."

Which might be connected to the fact that the couple were not even in New Orleans at the weekend, due to Brad filming the movie 'Tree Of Life' in Texas.

I'll never trust an unnamed source ever again. Honestly, it's like they're making the whole thing up sometimes.
