Amy Winehouse's father,
Mitch the snitch, is now appearing in a documentary to say that he's probably to blame for all his daughter's problems. We think smoking all that crack and having a scumbag loser for a husband may have had something to do with it, but Mitch is adamant it's all down to him. And who are we to begrudge him his 15 minutes...
Mitch talked to the BBC, instead of, say, confronting his daughter, for a documentary called 'Rock Star Parents' and explained that he had an affair 18 months after Amy was born. Apparently Amy and her brother knew about his mistress and even called her, quite quaintly, 'Daddy's work wife' although we're sure his real wife had another name for her.
Mitch finally left their mother for his 'work wife' who then became known as his second wife. He said:
"The children used to
call Jane 'Daddy's work wife'. I did not leave home until Amy was ten, so the situation occurred for
another eight or nine years before I left home. It was difficult."
Not fanning the media flames about his daughter's plight in anyway, he added...
"She could die horribly. That is not going to happen - that
cannot happen."
All this after he said earlier this week that Amy's behaviour was 'normal' for someone her age. Normal! Maybe it was all his fault after all...
