Honestly, talk about the blind leading the blind... On the drugs again/off the drugs again and probably on the drugs again last night
Pete Doherty has been asked to appear in a
new reality show intended to
help young heroin addicts. Is that to 'help' or to 'help overdose'? Pete will
share needles with encourage young users to stay off drugs.
Doherty plans to visit two of north England's toughest estates, complete with trilby hat and cane ready to have the shit kicked out of him (probably) and use music to persuade druggies to kick their habit.
But what happens if they don't particularly like music? Or, more likely, what happens if they don't particularly like his music? Perhaps they should have sold it as: get off the drugs or be forced to have Pete follow you around strumming his guitar for the rest of eternity.
Pete plans to live with families in an estate in Manchester and work with a young offenders group.
A source said:
"Pete really hopes to be able to use his own experiences to help these youths. Hopefully they will be inspired by his visit."
The sight of his spotty, sweaty, chubby old face might just be enough to put people off drugs for life...
