NME AWARDS RESULTS

The NME Awards were held last night and the results were pretty much the same as The Brits so we don't really see what the point is in having both. And obviously they got the word 'hero' confused with the word 'twat' as that's the only explanation for why Pete Doherty won anything.

Here are some of the results:

Best British Band: Arctic Monkeys - although Alex Turner didn't look that good on the dancefloor, not after his girlfriend Alexa Chung vomited all over his shoes
Best International Band: The Killers - yeah, like four years ago
Best New Band: The Enemy - no comment
Best Solo Artist: Kate Nash - sounds like a Catherine Tate piss take
Best Album: Klaxons 'Myths Of The Near Future'
Best Track: Arctic Monkeys 'Fluorescent Adolescent'
Hero Of The Year: Pete Doherty
Villain Of The Year: George Bush
Worst Dressed: Amy Winehouse - but what about her clothes range??
Worst Album: Britney Spears 'Blackout' - the poor girl in mentally ill, Conor!
Worst Band: The Hoosiers - who, along with Mika, were banned
Sexiest Man: Noel Fielding
Sexiest Woman: Kylie Minogue
Godlike Genius: Manic Street Preachers - oh dear...
