Lynne marched out to the Bushtucker Trial in a determined and upbeat mood. This PR veteran managed somehow not to scare the cockroaches, scorpions, rats and snakes too much and was justly rewarded with five stars for the camp. Lynne clearly has had too much therapy as she just can't stop herself overanalysing everything to death with the incessant whingeing tone of her never-ending psychobabble - much to everyone else's discomfort.
Meanwhile, back at the camp as they say, Cerys and Marc's flirting took on a new dimension, namely that of embarrassing holiday romance. There isn't a huge amount going on upstairs with either of these people, so they tend to just stare at each other and say inane things like "there's so much to say" without ever actually saying anything.
Interestingly, the conversation, steered by Biggins, soon moved to plastic surgery. Janice and Gemma to their credit openly discussed the various 'procedures' they'd had but oddly Cerys stayed silent on the subject. Funny that...
The eggtiming Bush Battle was television bronze. Watching Rodney, Janice, Biggins and Lynn staring at egg timers was not the best way to stimulate the viewing public; ARE YOU LISTENING PRODUCERS? At least Rodney won, and did so by appealing cleverly to Lynne's gigantic ego, ie he told her that it would take a very strong person to allow the other to win the task and she bought it hook line and sinker. The big div.
Either Gemma, J from Five, and Anna from 'Changing Rooms' are completely devoid of personality, or they are being edited to make it look as though they are. Perhaps they're all wacky livewires and we are just being shielded from their huge charisma for the first week and their true personalities will be unleashed on us in the days and weeks to come... then again...
