NBC, the US network that gave the Virginia Tech killer a platform for his unhinged postmortem posturing, has just paid $2.5m for US broadcast rights to the inevitable sycophantic bore-fest that the Diana Memorial concert will be.
However, the New York Post is reporting that this wasn't quite such a straight forward deal. In return for the gig featuring, according to one source, "a bunch of C-listers", NBC got in turn an exclusive interview with William and Harry. As the Post's source notes: "It's not like they would pay for
the concert otherwise."
And those C-listers? Duran Duran, Elton John, Joss Stone, Rod Stewart, Lily Allen etc. I don't know what's funnier, that the royal brats go to the highest bidder or that these supposed British pop gems are written off as C-listers.
