Sigh. Another day, another
Tom Cruise video rant in the name of the
Church of Scientology. This time the subject of Tom's anger is the whole issue of psychiatry, a practice he describes as "disgusting". Maybe he's seen what they charge by the hour? He also boasts about the success his 'religion' has had in treating drug addicts, though he seems to find it hard weaning himself off embarrassing video footage.
Scientology has long been against the psychoanalytical industry, and it's fairly obvious why. Psychiatrists make you look deep inside yourself, expose secrets you might feel ashamed of (and which can be used against you in the future) and all the while paying handsomely for the privilege. So, in short, they're in direct competition with Tom's noble 'Church'.
The clip appeared briefly on YouTube. Good luck finding it! It's certain that The Church aren't behind the leaks for publicity purposes as they are launching cease and desist actions against anyone trying to show the video.
Tom explains details of his triumphs in the treatment of drug addicts (i.e. people so desperate to be helped that they will believe anything in their vulnerable state).
"We actually have an easier time getting people off heroin and methadone than these psychiatric drugs, and I've worked very diligently to educate people about this. We have the ability to be able to fight drug companies to be able to crush these guys."
Those bastard drug companies, developing treatments to keep millions of people's lives in line. But look out! Here comes the acting! Tom stares directly into the camera and acts. Menacingly.
"Oh, I'm going hard on those guys, and their reign - psychiatrists. I've had, I mean, I've absolutely had it. It's disgusting to me. No mercy - none. Psychiatry doesn't work.
"When you study the effects, it's a crime against humanity."
Oh, he's going hard on those guys alright! Why, the Nazis used psychiatrists you know! Why stop there, Tom? Target reflexologists, Reiki practitioners and even fucking jugglers. Anyone who isn't in the church... that's who you need to go hard on.
