SPICE GIRLS ALBUM HAS RELEASE DATE DELAYED

SPICE GIRLS ALBUM HAS RELEASE DATE DELAYED

spicerelease

What do HMV, Amazon, Woolworth, Virgin and Tesco have in common? Apart from selling a lovely range of CD racks and board games, they make up a major slice of the UK record sales market, so when it comes to new releases they’re pretty much on the ball...

Oddly, they all seemed to think that the Spice Girls Greatest Hits album will be released on 5th November this year, though the band's management appear to be disputing this date. The more cynical might say that someone informed them that this would be the release date, but the only other explanation is that the big five retailers came up with the exact same date independent of each other, as a lucky guess.

Surely the mighty Spice Girls wouldn’t be chopping and changing the release date of their CD? You know, the one that will be seen as a massive failure if it doesn’t shoot straight to the top of the charts?

And the album that would be going head to head with new releases by Leona Lewis and Westlife if it was released on Bonfire night?

No. The retailers must have got the dates mixed up in their collective heads. All at the same time. It’s not like they do this type of cut-throat business for a living, is it?

Hopefully it'll be a real MASHUP of styles... y'know, bit of street, broken beat, d&b and urban flavas reclaiming what Girls Aloud did with the template... not to mention some rock as the kids like a bit of that, some licks that sound like Wannabe, some knowing swipes at media (savvy, see?). Right, job done now fuck off and die in pain and squalor.

It doesn't matter when it gets released. It's still bound to be shit.

Picuture if you will...trick or Treat mr? piss off kids...right that's it mr....cue kids playing the album at full blast on their "ghetto blaster" plus the fact that they do look like witches and posh could double as the broomstick...now that's marketing!!!!

Posh couldnt make it to the interview, so they stuck a cardboard cut-out on the end, and by christ, nobody noticed. AGAIN!
