Ex-Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy and Radio 1 DJ Colin Murray were named as the stars with the most specs appeal today. The pair won the Specsavers' Celebrity Spectacle Wearers 2007 award.
Murphy, 32, wife of footballer Harry Kewell, said she has worn glasses since her school days.
"I've been wearing glasses since I was about 13, but they've become a lot more fashionable in recent years.
"I generally wear my glasses during the day and I enjoy shopping for new ones as there are so many trendy options about now."
Murray only started wearing them three years ago.
"I thought I might struggle with wearing specs but actually it now feels like I've worn them forever - they are part of me and have become something of a fashion statement.
"I would rather be seen wearing them than without," he said.
Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly hosted the awards ceremony at London's Waldorf Hotel.
