Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash's autobiography was good value for money with plenty of amusing and occasionally sickening anecdotes (take note, Ronan Keating and your discussions in print form on the perfect way to make a nice cup of tea). It looks like Slash was holding some anecdotes back for a second volume, should he live that long, and he's been spilling a few more beans to this month's Uncut magazine about the time he met Michael Jackson in London.
Despite the guitarist having been around some of the seediest people to litter rock through the last two decades, he took special care of his two-year-old son when Michael came a-calling. Not because he thinks the Peter Pan-faced star is guilty of anything, but it doesn't hurt to be careful does it, whereas some other things hurt very much indeed.
"You know, I give the benefit of the doubt to Michael on everything - innocent until proven guilty and whatnot - but I was thinking, okay Michael, you figure out your shit and I'll hold on to my son!"
And indeed it should be pointed out that Michael was found innocent... sorry, not guilty, of all the charges he faced.
