To many people in the developed world this is hardly a shocking display, though Cohen chose to perform the same sex kiss in Arkansas. Wow. You can almost feel the necks reddening from here.
And to add insult to injury the kiss took place in the middle of that bastion of ultra-manliness, a cage-fighting arena, where a crowd expecting a full-on fight were treated to the sight of Sacha sizing up his opponent and exercising his lips more than his fists (though it was just a matter of time before the fists became the ultimate fighting machine).
Of course, it's all part of the filming of the follow up to 'Borat'. This time Sacha plays Bruno, a gay Austrian fashion journalist, and exactly the type of person to annoy the fuck out of anyone in or near Arkansas, in the film:
“Brüno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt.”
So, after the success of Borat the score is – British comedian 1 - Citizens of the US too stupid to realise they are being would up despite the interviewer looking exactly like Ali G or Borat, 450,000.
