RHCP SUE TV COMPANY OVER NAME

RHCP SUE TV COMPANY OVER NAME

anthonyrhcpsue
Leather-faced old farts Red Hot Chili Peppers are so important these days that TV companies can't help but think of them and their back catalogue each time they come to brainstorming possible names for new shows. Or so they would have us believe.

The boring band, who everyone thinks they like for an album and then decide, 'hang on they're doing that SAME SONG A-BLOODY-GAIN', are miffed that Showtime Networks have had the audacity to call their new David Duchovny series 'Californication'.

Which is the name of one of their albums. And they're pissed off that Showtime called a character 'Dani California' like that sodding song of theirs that's about California and are suing the company.

"Californication is the signature CD, video and song of the band's career, and for some TV show to come along and steal our identity is not right,'' whined crinkly Anthony Kiedis.

Oh boo fucking hoo.

Maybe Showtime should be done with it and call the damn thing "Too old to go shirtless" or "AutoTune live please" or "One Riff: 20 Years".

And of course Time magazine should not sue them for using the word in the 70s, or all the folks with the car bumber stickers either. This bunch of fuck-faced reprobates piss me off at the best of times, but this business really takes the fucking biscuit. Hope they all fall down a lift shaft pronto, and then the lift falls on top of them. While full of cattle and steamrollers.

The chili peppers always were a genuinely tedious band who have succeeded through sheer force of longevity. Only their tattoo fixation can be deemed as anything approaching original. Everything else has been irksome beyond belief. A really bad band of which the US should be rightly ashamed (see also Bon Jovi)

And does Randy California ( if he's still alive) know about this lucrative sideline?

If you thought you liked them for one song, let alone an album, seek medical help immediately.

Perhaps their albums aren't selling and they need the money?
