PETE DOHERTY HAS BEEN SENT TO PRISON

Pete Doherty has (finally) been sent to prison for violating his probation and for using drugs. He has been jailed for 14 weeks.

He was sentenced today by Judge Davinder Lachar at West Eailing Magistrates Court.

He had previously been given a suspended prison sentence for possession of drugs along with driving illegally. Part of his supervison order was to visit court for progress reports and attend a drug rehabilitation programme. Which obviously he hasn't done.

This will also mean that he will have to postpone his sold out concert in the Royal Albert Hall.

His spokesperson said:

"Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and to all those concerned."
