Pearl Jam may be shitter than shit on an even shittier stick, but does that mean AT&T had to censor their live performance at a Lollapalooza gig?
Eddie Vedder, a poor man's Kurt Cobain (himself a miserable, moany, self-pitying junkie tit) is reportedly livid that the digital provider took it upon itself to omit his lyrics as the band segued between their track 'Daughter' and a cover of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'.
And the offending lyrics? Vedder singing: "George Bush, leave this world alone... George Bush, find yourself another home."
Personally I think AT&T should be applauded. But not for its feeble and slapdash censorship of one man's politcal opinon in a country where freedom of speech is enshrined in its constitution. In sparing viewers from having to hear Vedder's pisspoor, unimaginative, crass sixth-form wordplay, however, AT&T did the world a favour.
Bunch of cunts, the lot of 'em.
