PAUL WELLER THINKS AMY WINEHOUSE IS A GOOD ROLE MODEL

Phew! I was a bit worried about Amy Winehouse for a few months there, but it looks like she's just fine, because Paul Weller says so. In fact, he says she's a "good role model" so that's all my fears banished because when the Modfather says something, it stays said, alright?

After the drugs, the drink and all the bloody fights, it seemed that Amy's family were coming to the end of their tethers about the future of the Golden Goose - sorry, that she might be wasting her God-given talent. But Paul Weller has put their minds to rest via the Radio 1 Legends show.

"She is an amazing, great talent and a great role model for people. I don't think the drugs and the drink and all that make a scrap of difference, really," said the man with the face of the Ghost of Christmas Past with hair modelled by Lego.

So worry not. She'll be just fine. Next week, Paul takes a critical look at Billie Holiday and declares she's just having a tough few weeks and will bounce back and prove the critics wrong.
