OASIS ALBUMS VOTED TOP IN NEW POLL

WHAT'S THE STORY?

OASIS ALBUMS VOTED TOP IN NEW POLL

noelgallagher
Oasis have made not just the best British album of all time, but the best two, according to (possibly mentally deranged) readers of Q magazine.

'Definitely Maybe' and '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' came out at numbers one and two respectively in a poll that also rated two of Keane's 'efforts' in the Top 20, so maybe that says something about the people voting for it.

Radiohead's 'OK Computer' was at number three and perennial favourite 'Sgt Pepper' only made it to number to number six.

Fuck me, I knew Q was read by culturally retarded anoraks who work in accountancy firms, but dear God, surely this list is a joke? A pub-circuit Beatles-cover band produced the best 2 albums ever?

13. Hopes And Fears - Keane 8. Under The Iron Sea - Keane WOW! I mean in 20years time everyone will be going 'why can't we produce bands like fucking Keane anymore, that is what music is really about, pure talent.'

Fuckin Hell - list is bloody terrible. Once I took these things seriously!!. I mean 2 sodding Arctic Monkeys ,2 Keanes , 4 Oasis - God give me strength.

There's no way that Fat of the Land is better than either Experience or Music for the Jilted Generation.

Has anyone listned to either of the Oasis albums in question? I mean, woken up for thirty minutes, wiped off the drool, listened and THOUGHT FOR THEMSELVES rather than shite on about them being a Beatles tribute band. Oh just fuck off back to your Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd why don't you?
Gordina on Mon 18 February 2008 said...
Have listened and it was shite! Like Phil Collins they are the 90's generations Max Bygraves. Please let them disappear into obscurity because that is all they deserve and the sooner the better.

I don't want to piss down everyone's back or anything, but Oasis could write quite good music. Their chord changes were interesting and their vocal melodies quite catchy. They could have done with a better producer, (some of their later stuff was very, very poorly produced), but I don't have a problem with them being recognised for their achievement. That is no the same as saying they should be at the top, but credit where credits due. Just because a man is an arsehole, you can't deny him his talent. As for those people wondering why heavy metal bands aren't at the top - you are shitting me, right? Its a joke, right? Please, tell me its a fucking joke. Just remember, it could've been worse - it could have been a rave band at the top, or a fucking rapper.l

This goes to show how shite Q magazine has become...How The Bootleg Beatles reached number one is a fucking joke. Dirivative, unimaginative audio shit, and about as intersting as Dulux magnolia. Oasis, better than the group they ripped off for donkey's years?!!? Better than Revolver??? Or Sgt Pepper?? I would laugh my fucking head off if i wasn't so blood boilingly angry...their output make fantastic ashtrays...that is all. Fucking polls are only good for creating stomach ulcers.

KEANE!?!?! BOTH ALBUMS!?!?! Jesus Flamethrowing Christ...
BustySinclair on Tue 19 February 2008 said...
Overall I think most of the albums deserve to be on that list, everyone has different tastes so it's always going to be debatable whether they're in the best order. However, having the likes of Keane, Libertines and Winebox on there shows that a good deal of the voters were clueless infants who have been listening to music for all of five minutes

How can they put those mono-browed cunts up top and dark side only makes number 9??
GeoffreyWode on Mon 11 August 2008 said...
The simple fact that most of the music in this list proves it to be utter bullshit made up by people either in their 20s or who have rather short memories.
