Nicole Kidman is leaving no detail unplanned when it comes to the
birth of her first child, even down to the music to be played while she is in labour. She isn't going for the Johnny Cash 'Ring Of Fire' option, nor 'Push It' by Salt N' Pepa, instead opting for the hypnotically dull sound of
James Galway, the Irish flute player with the dancing eyes (and a passing resemblance to the Yorkshire Ripper).
So Nicole, who has rented a private birthing room at a hospital in Nashville, will be screaming, "I hate you, you're never coming near me again!" into Keith Urban's face while the tranquil sounds of 'Annie's Song' wash over the expectant pair. Lovely. An un-named source was quick to leap forward and make details up by explaining:
"Nicole has been putting together CDs of music to listen to during labour. She has always loved James Galway, particularly his classical albums. Whenever you go to her house, she has Galway on. There is one Prokofiev sonata that is her favourite."
She always has James Galway playing when guests visit? What a perfect hostess, and not at all dull. At least the newborn will not have to tolerate its father's singing voice until it is old enough for the lullabies to come around. If only were all to get an 18-month break from Keith Urban and his 'unusual' back catalogue.
