Take a listen back to it. it sounds as if she's fighting against the other vocals, rather than trying to sit into the mix. The overall sound of the Vox is a kind of 'glassy' tone - even the lead singing from Ginger has that airy kind of sound. Then in comes Mel C with a kind of scratchy, nasal vocal that totally sits out of the mix, as if she really wants to be singing on a totally different kind of record altogether. Its just that in my spare time I like to write and record my own music, and things like this stick out like a sore thumb to my ear. Do I think the video's sexy? I kind of like Posh's Kinky gear. Anything black and shiny works for me. Its just a shame its own such a scrawny runt. To be fair, they're all trying really, really hard to be young again. Bless 'em. Someone should tell them the past is like a different country. Let it go. Oh well, carry on ...
