As if she isn’t already the luckiest wardrobe-shouldered actress in the world, ex-Eastenders star Michelle Ryan now wants more. The entire population of the UK said "WHAT?" when plucky Michelle was named as the star of the Bionic Woman TV series in the US, but now this isn't enough for her, and the heavy-chinned lovely plans an assault on the world of movies and perhaps Academy Awards.

We've already suffered the sight of Hugh Laurie being feted as a comedy genius across the pond, so can we expect Leslie Grantham to be given his own star on the Hollywood walk of fame for his literally seminal appearances on 'Fort Boyard'?

Michelle, still only 23 has admitted that she misses her friends and family in the UK, particularly uncle Charlie Slater, as the cabbies in LA are less than friendly, but she is determined to stick it out and be a success.

"I get homesick but it's such fun. If it all goes to plan I may break into movies too."

And if it all goes to my plan, those movies will involve little dialogue and heaps of baby oil.

How on Earth could an actress from 'Eastenders' rise to such heights? Michelle must have some damn fine extra-curicular talents is all we're saying.
