Brave Kylie took most of 2005 off to recover from her 'breast cancer ordeal', but it's surprising that she also managed to double her earnings year-on-year.
So that's less on elaborate shows, recording fees and travel. The figures are still staggering though. The year she didn't work (apart from her brave battle against cancer) show a salary of £1.85m and 'other earnings' of £2.63m. Nice work, if you can avoid it.
Don't get me wrong, I think Kylie is brave and wonderful, but maybe this is career advice she should be taking on board. Rather than appearing on Doctor Who* looking like Prunella Scales in Fawlty Towers, perhaps she could lock herself away and live like a recluse. She''ll be able to BUY Australia in ten years, by which time our ears should have recovered from her shrill chirruping.
