A TURNER FOR THE WORST

Kathleen Turner, whose autobiography recently accused Nicolas Cage of a drink driving arrest and of picking up a stray Chihuahua and stuffing it in his jacket, has gone on TV to defend herself. Badly. Cage is understandably upset about her claims and has launched legal action in London, so Turner took the opportunity to appear on US TV to defend herself (and also to plug her book, 'Send Yourself Roses').

Turner, who now has a voice deeper than Lee Marvin with a chesty cough and has started to resemble a pit bull, doesn't seem to be as focussed as perhaps she could, though she almost does a wonderful job of avoiding the inevitable Cage question.

She seems to remember him having a drink-driving conviction and stealing a dog. Perhaps it's true. Perhaps. Or perhaps he did all this dressed as a pink elephant with yellow spots.
