Kanye West seems like a very nice, if somewhat earnest, chap. But that's to be expected as it's not so long since the tragic death of his mother. If you were set loose in Las Vegas at New Year, what would you get up to, especially if one of your companions was Beyonce Knowles?
Admit it, you'd spunk all your money on the roulette, get roaring drunk and then ride a bicycle down the Strip trying to pull wheelies to impress Beyonce. You would, wouldn't you? Well, not Kanye. He played a nice few games of Connect 4 with her and then off to bed alone.
And to prove it, he's written a
fascinating blog which features the utterly rivetting information about who beat whom during what appears to be an unmissable Connect 4 tournament!
"When I was in Europe I would play this game for hours and hours... it helped me zone out. Everybody would get envolved... Derrick Dudley [Common's manager] and Consequence were the best other than me... I beat Lexi... Don C beat Jay... Tony Williams beat Common... but every now and then people would speak of this legendary connect 4 champion........... BEYONCE!!! I had 2 play her!...so last night at Jay's new 40/40 club in Las Vegas (which is sidebar, crazy big w/ 24krt gold flooring, Black Jack tables, $500 slot machines, the biggest projection screen in the universe and the best turkey burgers I've ever had in my life) she beat me 9 times in a row! (and I didn't even spaz lol)."
Well, that last bit was somewhat unsavoury, Kanye. In fact the whole thing was a bit creepy. It's important for stars to be nice. But it's also important for stars to be interesting, OK? Next week: Robbie Williams, 'My Ker-Plunk Addiction Hell'.
