JOSS STONE TO STAR AS LESBIAN IN NEW FILM

Just when we thought Joss Stone was hanging up her microphone and disappearing back to the land of clotted cream and scones, she's now landed a role in a film, playing a lesbian. She will be appearing alongside Caroline Quentin (we're obviously talking BIG budget here) but please God let her not be playing a lesbian too.

We don't know how she managed to get an acting part, she wasn't even convincing in the Flake advert and all she had to do was look like she was enjoying a piece of chocolate. Or chaaaclate as she puts it.

Joss will apparently be playing a Red Coat-style holiday park entertainer (and how we wish she had only made it as far as Butlins) in a British film called 'Snappers'. Sounds rubbish already.

Joss said:

"There are things that are going to really push the boundaries — and that excites me."

And if that hasn't made you shudder violently, she goes on to promise her fans that she will be performing a "long, lingering French kiss".

Sounds like more of a threat to us... Please don't do it. Or at least not with Caroline Quentin.
