As most students and layabouts already know,
Jodie Marsh was on
LK Today the other day to talk about her boob job and some pictures she had taken with NO make-up for a charity. A charity called Refuge. But it turns out they knew nothing about it...
In case you missed it, it went a bit like this:
Jodie Marsh gushes about 'her' charity saying:
"Nothing means more to me than my charity Refuge."
"Basically, they just asked me to pose without any makeup on"
"They said do you want to do it. I said really - no, but yes."
However, a mole sent a few examples of why Jodie Marsh probably wasn't the best person to choose to promote awareness for the charity, Refuge. Here are of Jodie's best moments.
-
Shortly after her wedding in September 2007, Jodie gave a number of interviews to the press where she bragged that her and her new husband enjoyed violent sex. To quote from an interview in OK: “Right now, we’re into experimenting with violence and asphyxiation, so we are very naughty!”
-
She demonstrates little understanding and insight into the plight of those who suffer domestic abuse, for example likening her own discomfort on Channel 4’s Big Brother as akin to being gang-raped: “…I honestly don't want to see any of them again (except Chantel and possibly Preston) and still cannot sleep at night for thoughts of being raped and beaten by three ugly old men (which is what it felt like).”
- With reference to a Russian woman that Jodie had an altercation with on holiday: “…I should really have felt sorry for her but instead I wanted to kill her. Things then got nastier as she got more and more aggressive and I pushed my way into her face. At this point fit barman leaped to my side, picked me up with one arm around my stomach and dragged me away kicking and screaming. Even as he dragged me out of the club I was still sticking my middle finger up at the whore and shouting to her to "go suck some c*ck for £3". (source: www.jodiemarsh.tv – 5 September 2006).
- With reference to two Spanish children that she believed had stolen her mobile phone: “…I chased them out of the shop 30 seconds after I realised what they had done but they had long gone! (and I also realised that I would have had absolutely no problem in pinning them against a brick wall and doing them some damage (who gives a f*ck if they´re only ten - they knew full well what they were doing and they have just caused me the biggest load of grief).” (source: www.jodiemarsh.tv – 31 October 2006)
And on it went.
So all this evidence was sent to the lovely people at Refuge for comment.
This is their response:
"As you can imagine, we have had a couple of people contact us because they are concerned about Jodie’s involvement with Refuge.
What I would say is that Jodie financially supports a few charities that are close to her heart, one of which is Refuge. The recent media work she has undertaken has been completely separate from our own awareness raising work. For example, we had no knowledge of her plans to appear on LK Today and her recent photoshoot with no make-up was completely misrepresented as a campaign for Refuge.
I hope this goes some way to alleviating your concerns."
Whilst we arent doubting Jodie's passion for charity work, has she over-egged this particular pudding, or has she gone as bat shit crazy as Heather Mills, who once claimed to have been asked to be an MP 26 times?
Here are
the pics. We think she looks better in the one on the left.
