Did Jimi Hendrix make a sex tape? You certainly wouldn't put it past him, and Vivid Entertainment from the US is claiming that it has footage of the legendary swordsman in action, something which might potentially be used as a masterclass for future generations of rock stars. Though not Coldplay or Radiohead, obviously.

The footage of the sexual act shows someone resembling Hendrix engaged with two ladies in sexual activities. Sounds likely already, but no – the footage only lasts 11 minutes, which according to legend was several hours short of Hendrix's personal best. And only two women?

A Hendrix biographer called Charles R. Cross is somewhat sceptical about the whole tape. He reckons the nostrils on show (oddball!) and the number of rings (on the rocker's fingers) don't resemble the man who could chop down a mountain with the edge of his hand (though he could probably inflict some severe pleasure with the same chopping motion).

"This is somebody that looks like Jimi or is pretending to look like him, but it certainly didn't look like a dead-on match to me."

A brave move, declaring himself to be the leading expert in the world on Jimi's "OW!" face. That's some research, to be fair – if you've been in the same room as Hendrix having an orgasm you're probably lucky to be around to tell the tale.
