Gwyneth Paltrow has confessed to Vogue magazine that she felt
depressed after the birth of her son, though quite how she noticed the difference from her usual ray of sunshine self is open to question. In part, her blues were caused by the fact she had to cut down on one of her favourite relaxation methods – acupuncture. Yes, it must be depressing not having needles shoved under your skin in sensitive areas, poor love.
Well, it must have been simply awful for her, though the depression was never diagnosed and according to Gwyneth, she wasn't aware that she was suffering in such a way at the time.
"I didn't know I had it until after it was over. I just didn't know what was wrong with me. I felt really out of my body."
Though she carried on providing that warm, hearty glow to the world and no one guessed she was as miserable as sin on the inside. How does she do it? What an actress! She continued whining:
"I felt really disconnected. I felt really down ... I felt pessimistic."
What does she have to feel pessimistic about? She has more money than she could ever hope to spend, two beautiful children in Apple and Macintosh and an Oscar on the mantelpiece. And to top it all off, she's married to Coldplay's Chris Martin.
