Geri Halliwell appears to have a touch of end-of-tour fever as she counts down the days to her final appearances with the Spice Girls. Writing on the band's website, she took time out from her busy schedule to praise the
dancing skills of
Victoria Beckham's son Cruz, who outshone the other children onstage in New York last Monday by performing a spot of break-dancing, much to the teeth-gritted delight of raggedy old Ginger Spice
"Victoria's son Cruz was a little star. We all had our children up on stage on Monday and Cruz started break dancing! How cool is that? It's clearly in the family."
I can't actually recall Victoria or David break-dancing, to be honest. If Cruz had stood as still as a statue, feet planted several feet apart and making a 'V' sign with his fingers, then maybe there would be a resemblance. Anyway, Geri is winding down and has mixed emotions at the end of the tour.
"So, we have six shows left to do, and it's rather like a countdown. I feel a mixture of sadness and joy. I know it's time to come home, yet I will miss everyone from the tour."
Yes, back home to the old mansion to count the millions whilst sitting in a faded Union Flag dress covered in cobwebs for the next few years. Like Miss Haversham with a toddler, waiting, ever waiting for the 'Spice Girls 15th Anniversary Reunion' to roll around. Unless she comes to the same end as Miss Haversham first...
Here's the video again if you missed it.
