Lucas Slates Silly Spidey

Live from Sour Grapes Corner comes George Lucas, the Michelin Man with a beard designed to create a chin, complaining that 'Spider-Man' 3 is "silly".

Talking to Fox News, who just so happen to be a sister company of 20th Century Fox, distributors of the Star Wars films, Lucas said: "It's silly. It's a silly movie... There just isn't much there. Once you take it all apart, there's not much story, is there?"

And this from the man who inflicted Ewoks, Jar Jar Binks, C-3PO, and a whole host of ridiculous sci-fi characters on an innocent public (not to mention all three of the latest Star Wars films).

Of course, this couldn't have anything to do with the fact that Spider-Man 3 has just become the biggest blockbuster ever. Oh no.
