Kiss rocker Gene Simmons has come out claiming that the footage in the sex tape that came out last week could be "decades old". OK, Gene, you tell the missus what she wants to hear, we'll play along...

Simmons, who was born Chaim Witz in Israel in 1949 and claims to have slept with 5000 women, says that he has known about the tape for a while and that the people who have it have been trying to blackmail him with it.

"You should know for the record, the garbage was recorded without my knowledge and is a page from my past. It happened and there's nothing I can do to repair that," writes Simmons on his website.

"The black-and-white footage may have been decades old," added the rocker, who has been dating porn star Shannon Tweed for 20 years.

"The entity behind the garbage has repeatedly tried to make money off of this and we have always refused. This is not the first time the entity has tried to blackmail and extort us. We have always refused and we will continue to refuse..."

Right, that's it, we're calling all our enemies 'entities' from now on! Do you hear that, Katona?

Here's a video interview Simmons did for Channel 4 not that long ago where he says he'd "mount almost anything" (including Sarah Beeney and Sharon Osbourne) and would like to do it with BB6 contestant Kinga "repeatedly and violently". What a nice chap.
