BASKET CASE

Ex-basketball player Dennis Rodman was arrested on Wednesday night after police received a complaint of domestic abuse, and he may have to face numerous charges of crimes against good taste if the case comes to court. Rodman, a man for whom the term 'volatile' might have been invented, has been accused of bruising his girlfriend's arm during an argument at their hotel.

Bearing in mind the size of Rodman (who looks as though he could smash breeze-blocks with a stare) such news is unsurprising, coupled with the fact that he has had problems with his 'refuelling' in the past, having admitted to various binges on various substances (well why else would he have slept with Madonna?)

After he was bailed for a cool $50,000 and wandered away angrily into the night, his manager admitted that Rodman's drinking was getting slightly out of hand (what with the whole assault thing and all that), and his boozing...

"Has been escalating in the last six weeks due to a nasty divorce and not seeing his children in over two months."

Hmm. A nasty divorce featuring unreasonable behaviour and now increased drinking. There's a whole chicken/egg thing going on here, isn't there?
