Poor (literally)
Denise Richards. The ex-wife of
Charlie Sheen has been dragging herself around chat shows to promote her new
reality show. Naturally, Denise is a serious actress and is unhappy that she is forced to be the subject of such a show, but she really has no choice, you see. She can't afford to live without the extra money from the show.
Charlie is said to be extremely unhappy that his two children are constantly featured on the show. The pair had one of the more entertaining divorce battles seen in a long time with accusations of porn-watching and child abuse bandied about between the pair, so one can only imagine who it was who leaked the actual details of Denise's income prior to the TV money. So here's the pittance on which Denise has to scrape by...
$52,000 a month (tax free) in child support from Sheen. $60,000 a month (tax free) in alimony payments from Sheen for two years, and a split on his income from his sitcom which will eventually add up to $25m.
Three questions arise from this. Can she really not support herself and two kids on such a massive monthly income without whoring herself around on a reality show? Could she not afford a nanny and go out and get some acting work herself? And where the fuck is Charlie getting this sort of money from? I know 'Hot Shots Part Deux' was comedy gold, but it's been a while now…
Here she is on America's The View getting grilled by Whoopi Goldberg.
