As you may have heard,
Will Smith had his
hand prints 'immortalized' outside that Hollywood Chinese Theatre place yesterday. Now is it just us or is this ritual a bit weird?
How did it start? Did Clark Gable come bundling out of a Christmas do in the theatre a bit pissed and think he'd show off to Joan Crawford by sticking his hands in the fresh cement outside: "Oi, Chaplin, look at what I've done, now THAT'S funny, you little communist."
Regardless, it is one of Hollywood's highest honours and you'd have thought Will would take his wife along, but oh no it was his little buddy Tom Cruise who turned up for the big occasion.
Imagine Tom's delight as he saw Will assume the all fours position right in front of him? How Tom really wanted to enter into the spirit of things...
