After Sharon Stone's
idiotic comments about the
Chinese earthquakes being down to some type of karma because of their government's policies, one of China's biggest movie chains has announced that they will no longer be showing any of Stone's future movies in their multiplexes. How's them Karma apples now, Sharon?
The misguided fool (who is famous for one reason, and one reason only - flashing her vagina in a film) may not be too bothered about such a scenario, but bearing in mind the one billion (and counting) population in China, it's likely that her studio bosses will be less than delighted with this news.
Ng See-Yun, founder of the UME Cineplex chain, was rightfully disgusted with the actress's comments and removed any of her future films from rotation in their cinemas, saying:
"UME has branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Hangzhou and Guangzhou, China's biggest urban movie markets."
So now the population of China will be unable to see Sharon's aged frame draped across a younger actor and whispering in his ear, looking for all the world as though she is trying to seduce him and then steal his Werther's Originals. This is welcome news, as the Chinese people have suffered enough lately. Any chance the ban could be extended to the Western world? We had to sit through 'Basic Instinct 2' after all.
