It's a great day for exclusives - After holding talks with her all weekend,
ITV are due to announce that
Cheryl Cole IS replacing
Sharon Osbourne's miserable face on
The X Factor - which starts filming next week...
Bookies had Cheryl on a measly 6/1 yesterday, with Mel B being the runaway favourite - however sources tell us that ITV are ecstatic at her decision to join
Simon Cowell,
Louis Walsh and
Danni Minogue on the award winning show.
Holy Moly thinks this a very good thing indeed.
Given the choice between Mel B and Cheryl Cole - there was only ever one choice, wasn't there?
The X Factor needs a judge with their finger firmly on the pop pulse of Britain.
She's opinionated, glamorous and funny. It also helps that Girls Aloud are arguably one of Britain's best groups - with 18 Top 10 singles under their belts and who were themselves born out of a Simon Cowell show - 'Popstars: The Rivals'.
Should be interesting to see how she battles with Louis - who on paper is still supposed to be their manager (in reality probably can't even remember their names - well that Boyzone reunion takes a lot of planning. ish).
Expect an announcement before the end of the week...
WELL DONE THE X-FACTOR
VIVA LA TWEEDY COLE!
