After Charlize Theron recently claimed that her boyfriend rarely pays her a compliment, we now realise it's probably because she doesn't smell very nice. Charlize has admitted that she can go a week without showering and has explained that there's a time for showers (yes, it's called once a day) and a time to go without.

Charlize was on the David Letterman show when she decided to tell him about her lack of cleanliness. Does she realise it goes out on TV?

She said:

"When I do have a little time off I like to get down and dirty like camping or travelling to countries that don't have the luxuries."

So pretty much just behaving like everyone else then?

"I'm a tough girl and I can not shower for a week - I'm fine with that."

There's being tough and there's just being unhygienic.

"There's a time and a place for everything and sometimes there's a time for not showering."

We're not sure if that's actually true. But we're sure it won't be enough to put any man off. Not even those with the strongest sense of smell.
