Details have emerged about certain documents filed last Thursday in the ongoing '
conservatorship' hearings regarding Britney Spears, which might look like a complex legal battle but basically it all boils down to who gets contriol of
Britney (and her fortune). The latest documents certainly don't show the singer's entourage in the best light, with scheming manager
Sam Lufti and Britney's business manager
Howard Grossman looking like the villains of the piece.
One lawyer declared that Grossman was given strict instructions on how to deal with the singer.
"He was not permitted to give Britney any money, credit cards or access to money or credit cards or to meet with her ... at the Beverly Hills Hotel or anywhere else."
Naturally, a few days later Grossman met with the singer at... well, can you guess? Also turning up at the Beverly Hills Hotel was one of Britney's cars (courtesy of Grossman) which she then used to zoom around town, followed by hundreds of paparazzi.
To be fair, Grossman has a perfect excuse for going against this strict legal instruction. You see, he wanted to impress Britney and "build her confidence in him". Well that's alright then. It's probably what John Hinckley said when shooting at Ronald Reagan to impress Jodie Foster (and was HE barking up the wrong tree or what?).
Now Grossman has turned on Lufti, claiming that he was sent emails by the manager demanding to be given large amounts of Britney's money, though he is refusing to provide copies of the emails to the court. Not because he's lying or anything.
It's actually quite good to see these jackals stripped of their cash cow and being forced to turn on each other to survive. What's the betting that Osama Lufti (his full name) has some dirt on Grossman? Or maybe he's saving it for the warts and all book which is on the way. Ah, the dignity!
