Battlestar galactica under threat from downloading

battlestar
Here is something all 'Battlestar Galactica' fans probably need to know…

"I heard yesterday that 'Battlestar Galactica' is greenlit for Season 4 - which is great, but the fans, and particularly the UK Sky owning fans, better get noisy because it's being destroyed by downloads. It's the second most 'bitorrented' show on the planet (after 24) and it's getting ratings of about 350,000 on Sky One.
If it falls below this magic number it's ripe for pulling - Season 4 or no Season 4 - and Wolfe will do it.
Remember that an entire series of Battlestar Galactica costs the same as two episodes of Lost (and for my money is about a thousand times better). Richard Wolfe - who currently runs Sky One - would pull the plug on Battlestar Galactica in a New York second if he thought he could get away with it. He hates all drama and particularly sci-fi."

As the only 'sci-fi' show it is perfectly acceptable for a grown man to watch free from the implications of a lifetime of furious masterbation and eternal loneliness, the official HM verdict is that Battlestar Galactica is indeed fucking brilliant...

UPDATE ALERT! WHOOP WHOOP!

An official SKY person says:

"Sky One state that the channel has full faith in Battlestar Galactica and the fourth series has not only been acquired by Sky One but will also be co-produced by Sky. They say they’ve recently announced Lost Room and Dresden Files and renewed Stargate SG1 and are adamant they remain committed to showing the best in sci-fi. As for drama, Richard Woolfe’s Sky One has just aired the most expensive drama ever commissioned by a multi-channel – Terry Pratchett’s Hogfather and are developing the multi-million pound remake of The Prisoner."

So there you go...
