AMY WINEHOUSE TO BE DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL AFTER FAINTING

Amy Winehouse is expected to be discharged from hospital later this morning after being taken to hospital yesterday when she mysteriously fainted at home. Her father accompanied her to hospital where she went as a precautionary measure and for 'tests'.

Her spokesperson said:

"Amy was at home this afternoon when she briefly fainted. Fortunately, her manager's assistant was there to stop her falling. She quickly recovered and her father, Mitch, took her to hospital as a precaution. Doctors are unsure of the cause of the incident and Amy is currently undergoing tests."

A female assistant had managed to catch Amy as she collapsed (which wouldn't be hard really as she must now weigh about two stone).

An ambulance arrived at her home in Camden yesterday afternoon but left minutes later. Mitch then went to check on her and took her in his cab straight to hospital. No doubt Mitch will soon be giving his side of the story in great detail to the nearest tabloid hack.

EDIT: Amy will be staying in hospital for at least today as tests were apparently 'inconclusive'. What are they doing? Just send in the stiffer dogs and they'll find the "cause" of her fainting in no time.

Her spokesman said: "She seems to be fine in herself, but they are taking their time to be sure.

"She's staying there for the time being. They are still not quite sure what happened and the tests were inconclusive."

Police have concurred but will not press charges as they don't want to upset the kids.
