Amy Winehouse has reportedly been dropped from the line-up of a charity event in the US without explanation. This is a great example of shit Mail journalism...

The Mail on Sunday, that bastion of quality journalism, printed this story yesterday about Wino being 'axed' from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala next month, a small charity event attended by a select group of fashion industry insiders. But the paper seems to have talked to the most clueless 'source' ever.

"She has been told that she is no longer part of the programme," said the source.

"It will be a huge blow for her as it would have been a great platform to break America. They love her music over there but she has yet to do a tour."

A great platform to break America? She's a household name, has won five Grammys, had a number two US album and has sold over one and a half million albums there - how much more does she need to break America, you fucking morons?
