BALL-GAME

Rumours have been abounding for a while that the reason Madonna's marriage to Guy Ritchie may be in trouble is because she is spending a fair amount of time with a man called Alex Rodriguez. Alex is a professional baseball player for the New York Yankees and may have been hammering balls all over Madonna's diamond-shaped field.

Of course, all parties are denying the connection but it appears that Alex's own marriage may be in some trouble and that his wife has been spending some quality time with guitarist Lenny Kravitz, who may have been asking 'Are You Gonna Go My Way?' in the general direction of her fanny (if rumours are to be believed -and they probably will). Are you keeping up here? Lenny has denied that he and Cynthia Rodriguez are an item.

"Cynthia is a friend…She came here to escape from everything happening in New York City. I opened my home to her as a friend and I find it extremely hurtful that I am now being referred to as an adulterer."

Hmmm. The New York Post are reporting that Lenny and Cynthia are currently in Paris and that they spent a large part of last Tuesday evening together, co-incidentally the same night that Madonna was reported to have spent some quality time with a certain baseball player.

So where does this leave Guy? Still in that corridor of confusion between lairy barrow boy and privately-educated toff by my reckoning, and utterly alone.
