ACTOR WHO PLAYED R2-D2 IN STAR WARS NOT REALLY ILL

Just as millions of geeks were ready to paint their dustbins white, put them on skateboards and take to the streets making bleeping noises to mourn the passing of actor Kenny Baker, it seems he's going to be alright.

The 3ft 8in star who appeared as the droid in all six Star Wars films was admitted to hospital on Wednesday after falling ill while on holiday in the U.S.

Everyone who had registered their religion as Jedi in the last census held their breath fearing the worst but it seems he'll be back at home this weekend. At least the IT department will answer their phones now.
