50 Cent doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humour (not even when his house burnt down a couple of weeks ago) and has now threatened
legal action against US fast food chain
Taco Bell. They offered to donate money to charity if he changed his name to either 79 Cent, 89 Cent or 99 Cent to promote one of their meal deals (which would have made him at least 20 cents more expensive so we don't know why he's complaining).
The company offered to make a £5000 donation to a charity of 50 Cent's choice if he went to a Taco Bell and rapped his order at the drive-thru window using his new name.
At least this time he could have benefited someone else by making a fool of himself.
But Fiddy was having none of it and has now got his lawyers on the case.
His representative said:
"This is a sleazy and ill-conceived publicity stunt by Taco Bell's
president, Greg Creed, whose disingenuous offer was leaked to the press
before it was even presented to 50 Cent's agent yesterday".
Alright, calm down.
Then 50 Cent pipped up:
"When my legal team is finished with them, Taco Bell
is going to have a new corporate slogan: 'We messed with the bull and
got the horns!'"
The gangsta...
