The Press release says:

"Inspired by true events, Breach starring Ryan Phillppe, Chris Cooper and Laura Linney, is a dramatic thriller set inside the halls of the Federal Bureau of Investigation that serves as the gatekeeper to the most sensitive and volatile secrets of the USA.

In February 2001, renowned FBI operative Robert Hanssen was found guilty of treason against America.  Over a period of more than two decades, Hanssen systematically and deliberately sold his country’s key intelligence to the former Soviet Union. Academy Award® winner CHRIS COOPER (American Beauty, Adaptation) stars as Hanssen, one of the most notorious spies in the history of America."

We say:
In 2001, Robert Hanssen was arrested for spying and doing very bad things within the FBI, where he had worked for 25 years.
This film follows the two months leading up to the arrest of Hanssen (played by top actor Chris Cooper) and follows Ryan Phillippe (not that hot in the flesh, fyi) as he is recruited to bond with Hanssen, gain his trust and ultimately get information for the FBI so they can trap him and arrest him.

Even though you know the outcome of the film (it is based on a true story, with Eric O' Neill, Phillippe's character, acting as a consultant) it still manages to hold your concentration with twists and turns and makes you clench your arse tighter than if you were in prison.

It makes you want to work for the FBI. More than usual.
